Brunch Before Beantown

I've never had better vegetarian brunch fare than I did today. The one friend around my age that I've made while working at Penn is ditching me [erm, I mean] leaving Philly for Boston. T has good reasons - she's starting on her MBA and her boyfriend happens to live in Beantown. I'm excited for this new chapter in her life but bummed that I'll have one less friend living locally.

T's mother, who also happens to be her daughter's best friend, hosted a bon voyage brunch for her Philly girlfriends at her Bella Vista home. Her kitchen produced eggplant parm, an onion tarte, udon noodles, a mushroom and potato frittata, a sundried tomato and something frittata, baba ghanouj and many more tasty dishes that I can't recall at the moment. Dessert didn't disappoint either. I didn't know that Whole Foods made such amazing vegan cakes.

T, here's to your kicking some major arse at Brandeis.
