$1.07

The little holes lining the top of your shower curtains - do you know how many there are? Twelve. Over time I usually tear one or two from each end whenever I hastily pull back the curtain while simultaneously lunging for my towel, turning off the hot water and reaching for the toothbrush ten minutes before my butt has to be on the westbound bus to campus. I don't know exactly how long it's been since I last replaced my curtain, but all I can say is that this morning, I barely had a functioning shower curtain. Guess how many holes are intact in my current shower curtain. FOUR. Position numbers 2, 5, 6 and 8 are just barely protecting the bathroom floor from getting flooded every morning.

When will the Dollar Store receive their next shipment of shower liners? (I actually just use a clear shower liner and replace it every few months. It stays clean and since my bathroom's small, I feel like it makes the space bigger than if I had a proper curtain.) Anyway, I refuse to pay $15 for the same curtain that costs $1.07 at the Dollar Store. I admit it: I'm totally cheap about the situation. But, golly, I would feel pretty stupid if this liner were to just give out on me one morning altogether as I stand under the shower with shampoo still in my hair. Then I'd be shit out of luck and have to pay the $15 after all.
