Carnivale in Rittenhouse

Today there was a mini fete in Rittenhouse Square Park. I did four loads of laundry while the party carried on outside my window. I stayed away from the crowds, away from the locals, but most importantly, away from the costumed dogs. That's right, folks. The chihuahua and the great dane that you see going potty every morning? Their owners apparently think that their precious pooches were meant to be dressed up in sparkling pink tutus and plaid jumpers. I can't be the only one who finds these images disturbing. God simply didn't design dogs to wear clothes; that's why they have fur.
