Prof Caught with Child Porn
It was refreshing to see all my professors dressed in starched button-downs and khakis today in observation of the first day of fall term classes. They clean up real nice after a summer sporting faded cotton t-shirts, sneakers and shorts. Despite their crisp academic attire, they still behaved sillily and cackled in the hallways over the latest on-campus gossip. Professors are not much different from students - they just have a few more letters after their names.
Prompted perhaps by a front page article in today's student-published university paper or by last night's locally headlined cover story, I was privy to a lively forty minute discussion in the hallway today revolving around the Wharton marketing professor currently sitting in jail. He was recently charged with possessing still images of himself partaking in sexual activity with a minor. The pics were found in his campus office. That's right, folks: this dude has gotten himself into some deep doo-doo.
According to President Guttman, he will no longer teach at the University of Pennsylvania: this is a good thing since he was in fact scheduled to teach this term. Parents would have freaked out if their kids were enrolled in his class. Since this isn't the professor's first encounter with sexual charges, I think it's high time he receive appropriate medical attention. Child pornographers are seriously disturbed individuals who should seek proper treatment before re-entering the public sphere. Get the man some help!

wow, that's just so disturbing and sad. :(
