Guggenheim

Compliments of my new employer, when I flash my work I.D. at several of New York's museums --like magic-- tickets appear without any exchange of money.  Little perks like these are sweet!

Helen and Noah came through town today and accompanied me on my first adult visit to the Guggenheim Museum.  Artists and museum staff were busy installing upcoming exhibits so several wings were closed during our visit this afternoon, but it was fun to breeze through and see famous originals.  I had no idea their permanent collections included such well-known pieces by Picasso, Renoir, Kandinski, Klimt, and Klee.

I can't wait to return after they open the visiting exhibitions, especially Cai Guo-Qiang's whose installation includes the tigers you see here.

By the way, I totally got in trouble for taking pictures of the tiger installation.  Oops.
