Calm Before the Storm

Madison Square Park.
9:58 am.  Sunday.  2012.  4 June.

Little did the squirrel know that in half a second, this gentleman would open a big can of whoop ass on him.  I'll admit it: I quietly laughed at the squirrel's misfortune.  He was asking for it!

I used to think squirrels were cute.  That was before I saw one attack food as it was being deposited into a trash can by a human.  He looked about ready to chew the hand off the human.  Impatient, brazen, rodent-like.  Ew.

  2. Ha. I actually don't like this image so much! I'm glad someone appreciates it, though :).

  3. I used to love squirrels until a crazy squirrel that lived in the tree next to my house insisted that the porch was part of its territory and would brazenly jump right in front of me to yell and complain. That and it would dig up my flowers which then required me to sprinkle red pepper powder around the flower beds. Squirrels are A-HOLES. I'd have to say that after some observation I find them to be all to be a-holes, regardless if they live in the Midwest or on the East Coast.

    1. Do you know that I saw tourists in Madison Square Park actually feed the little suckers? On more than one occasion! Tsk, tsk, tsk.
