Merci, Ode à la Rose

There is much greatness in the smallest and simplest of gestures.  Sending a simple bouquet of roses is one such example.  An act of kindness like this makes anyone's day special.  Wouldn't you agree?

Ode à la Rose {+} kindly sent over a delightful bouquet of roses less than 24 hours after contacting me.  Run by two Frenchmen (whom I'd imagine must be in heaven running a business that brings nothing but heart flutters and smiles to guys and gals every day), this online florist delivers sweet roses to doorsteps across New York City directly from their headquarters in Chelsea's flower district.

A single white rose softly peeped out from atop the delivery box waiting for me at the front desk tonight.  To be welcomed home by such a charming sight lifted my spirits immediately.  I chuckled when I caught the marketing copy on the box.  One line read: You've just received flowers.  Now gloat.  How perfectly punchy.  I liked it.

Their sweet and simple presentation perfectly suits their fresh roses.  How refreshing.  A unique part of the Ode à la Rose experience is that they send a picture of the bouquet to the sender as it leaves their shop en route to the recipient.  So incredibly smart, the French.  Gone are the days of ordering floral arrangements only to find that your local florist used wilted flowers and filler carnations to produce a bouquet half the size of what was promised.  Talk about a bummer.

Ode à la Rose (www.odealarose.com) sent the complimentary bouquet pictured in this post.  I was neither obligated nor compensated for sharing my thoughts.
