Snack Time

There is a fine art to choosing snacks for middle school students.  Namely, if it's not bright orange, chocolate of the tar black sort, or glazed with a cup of sugar per serving, you're gonna get weird looks.  I speak from months of experience.  To think that I considered sliced apples and peanut butter at one point...Foolishness!  These are tweens, not toddlers!  Net result after tonight's failure = Julia has a pound of sourdough pretzels to work through.  The chocolate they had no problem with, but some Nazi who shall go unnamed gave one nugget per student because it was around dinner time and wouldn't it spoil their dinner?  I mean, I'd like to think that their parents appreciate that Nazi's concern for their children's nutritional health.
