Only It's Closer To Astor Place

This isn't actually at the Union Square stop so much as it is in the general Union Square vicinity, but I thought it was punchy and vibrant.  It looks like someone just walked up to the pole one day and decided to try their hand at a mosaic tile collage. It's a charming addition to an otherwise busy pedestrian crossway through a large intersection near the Astor Place stop and St. Marks.  It reminds me of a strip of garish homes covered in colorful broken glass and materials on South Street in my hometown.  It's fun to see what neat creations artists come up with using recycled materials.
